Help Wanted | Event Photographers | Brand Ambassadors

On The Spot Photos is a known brand and is looking to hire superstar event photographers, freelance photographers, second shooters, and brand ambassadors to help staff and photograph events.

Do you have experience as an event photographer or event brand ambassador, have a flexible schedule and interested in traveling to events between NYC and Saratoga Springs, NY? Can you work under pressure in a fast paced environment with lots of people around? Want to be involved with a growing unique small business? If so, read on….

OTS Photos is an event photography business that prints event photos on location at over 100 events a year. We’re looking to add to our team of part time employees and freelance photographers in Saratoga Springs, NY and NYC. We are looking for an energetic photographer with a personality and the skills to produce great portrait photographs.

Must be durable – events are fast paced, hectic environments and sometimes not in the best weather conditions. We need you to help move equipment, set up tents, and just go with the flow and be flexible.

DO YOU QUALIFY?

As an event photographer?  Are you a Photographer or someone that can take a good picture? What’s the difference?

A photographer is not someone who can only take a quality photograph, but someone who knows the ins and outs of events, lighting, logistics, technology and can flow around a venue in a crowd. Event photographers have personalities that are outgoing, flexible and can approach event guests face to face. They are fast thinkers who know how to set up tripods, pipe and drape, backdrops, backdrop lighting, strobes lights, flashes, etc. Have experience editing images with light room, photoshop, bridge. Can adjust a DSLR camera settings quickly for changing light conditions outside and inside, know ISO, Aperture, shutter speed, white balance, etc. Can crop an image through the lens as directed and deliver an image that is properly exposed. They can preform all these tasks in a timely manner on site. Why? Because, OTS Photos delivers all images to the client onsite for slideshows prints and social media, quickly. Game on!

As a brand ambassador?

An event brand ambassador is social, energetic, reliable, presentable, willing to help and comfortable at events with lots of people around. They are tech savvy with a macbook and willing to help move and set up equipment. They get along well with others as team player and can be on their their feet for an extended period of time.

You don’t qualify, but still want to learn the business of event photography? Ok, so we might be willing to train and pay you as a brand ambassador since you fell you have the desire and personality, but not the experience. Feel free to complete an application and tell us why. Please note, OTS Photos doesn’t pay to train photographers. It’s up to you to learn photography on your own at events, online, and around.

HOW TO GET STARTED
To get started, we ask that you submit an application online. If your application looks good, we’ll give you a call to chat about your goals, expectations, etc. We’ll either set up an interview or invite you to our next upcoming event for a practical interview. We’ll train you on the fly and give you a few simple tasks to complete. Don’t worry, it’s fun. If the practical interview works for you and works for us, we’ll give you formal training and start working you into the schedule.
